The Herriman Youth Baseball Program is run exclusively by volunteers with cooperation from Herriman City. If you are interested in learning more or becoming a board member please use the Contact us link on the home page.
No, Herriman Baseball is not affiliated with the Salt Lake County Recreation Center. If you sign up through them you will not be placed on a Herriman Baseball team.
Herriman Baseball does allow for friends to play together in TeeBall and Rookie Divisions only. PeeWee7 and up only allow for 1 head coach and two assistant coaches to stay together in the Single "A" Division. Triple "AAA" Teams also allow players to stay together but are selected by the coaches during individual team tryouts.
Herriman Baseball Believes in the development of all kids and players. We have a place for all levels of players in our league. The purpose of the Herriman Youth Baseball league is to help kids learn to love the game of baseball by teaching the fundamentals of the game but at the same time offering all level of play depending on the skill level of each child.
Spring Training is a Program offered by Herriman Youth Baseball as way to help Single "A" Rec Players prepare for the upcoming season. The program is typically run by High School Coaches and players, Super League Coaches, or League Coaches and Board Members.
There are Spring Training programs available to PeeWee 7U up to Pony 16U. Space is limited and is a capped program due to field space, coaches, and time.
Spring Training Registration is available through the same registration as the regular season until all spots are filled.
Player Registration opens for the Spring Program in December and the Fall Program in June. The registration button on our home page will take you to the registration form. Once your account is created you can register your player in the Division that matches your child's age. In Spring we offer programs for 3U to 18U. In the Fall we offer programs for 7U-18U.
If you are having a problem registering please check your players birthdate.
We require a copy of a Birth Certificate for every player before registration can be completed.
Our snack shack will operate from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM during the week when we have games. Saturday operations are 8:30 AM to 1 hour prior to the end of the last scheduled game.
Exception is if business is slow and a board member directs the shack to close down.

PEEWEE7/8, MINORS, MAJORS, & PONY DIVISIONS
Refunds can be received given a certain criteria and circumstances. Listed below are the list of this policy.
- 95% refund until registration closes. 5% is held to cover the processing fees.
- 50% refund if requested after registration but before tryouts.
- No Refunds are available after tryouts are completed.
- Special Circumstance Refunds policy.

- If a child is injured before the 1st game of the season and will miss the full season, confirmed by a doctor's note, a full refund less the 5% processing fee will be issued.
- An injury after the season begins but before the teams 4th game a 50% refund will be issued.
- After the 4th game of the season no refund will be available.

Game Play FAQs
Single "A" Rec Teams play primarily at W&M Butterfield Park in Herriman for the Regular Season. End of Season Tournaments can be played at different parks regionally throughout the WBL.
- TeeBall & Rookie Divisions Play on Painted fields on the Pavilion Level of the Park. All Games use a tee or coach pitch depending on age specific rules. 55' Base Paths
- PeeWee 7 (7U) Plays on the South East, East Field. All Games use a pitching machine. It is a smaller field with age specific rules and dimensions. 60' Base Paths
- PeeWee 8 (8U) Plays on the South West Field. Single "A" games are pitching machine for the 1st half of the season then kid pitch for the 2nd half. 60' Base Paths, 44' Pitching Mound
- Minors (9U-10U) Plays on the South East Field. Single "A" games are 46' pitching mound, 60' Base Paths.
- Majors (11U-12U) Plays on the North West Field. Single "A" games are 50' pitching mound, 70' Base Paths.
- Pony Prep to Colt (13U-18U) Plays on the North East Field.
- 13U 80' Base Paths, 54' Pitching Mound
- 14U-18U 90' Base Paths, 60.5' Pitching Mound
No, PeeWee7 Division allows for only Head Coaches and Assistant coaches to keep their kids together (a maximum of 3 kids per team). All remaining players are selected through a hat pick draft.
Tryouts are conducted for PeeWee8, Minors, Majors, and Pony Divisions. Dates and times are TBD.
The Herriman Baseball Super League (Triple "AAA") program is designed for accelerated Baseball Players from the age of 7 and up. Players are selected by a tryout usually held in August to September. The Super League allows for much more advanced play. The games are played against other super league teams from around the state. Games are played in all parts of Utah and surrounding states. Players are chosen solely by the coaches.
The drop dead rule is utilized for fields that do not have lights.
- Games will run for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
- Drop dead time is 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- If in the middle of an inning when drop dead hits then the score is reverted back to the previous innings score.
- If home team takes the lead prior to drop dead then the game is over.
- Tee-Ball and Rookie:
- Tee-Ball:
- Practice: 30 minutes
- Game Play: 30 minutes
- Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays (Saturdays if needed)
- Rookie:
- Practice: 30 minutes
- Game Play: 30 minutes
- Game Play: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (Saturdays if needed)
- Tee-Ball:
- PW7 and Older:
- Game Play: Monday through Saturdays
- We aim to keep it to a maximum of 2 games per week.
- Practice schedules are determined by the coaches.
- Game Play: Monday through Saturdays
- Pony Prep, Pony, and Colt:
- These age groups will travel to other cities in the South part of the valley.
- The cities include: Bingham, Copper Hills, Eagle Mountain, Riverton, and South East Valley.
